SALMON, ID - With the controversial Wolf Derby just around the corner, the U.S. Forest Service is feeling the pressure.

Last month the U.S. Bureau of Land Management pulled their special use permit from Idaho for wildlife. While that limited ground for hunters to hunt on, it did not stop the derby.

That's why conservation groups and Oregon Congressman Peter Defazio are focusing their attention on the forest service. They've sent letters asking the U.S. Forest Service to require the group to have a permit before the wolf coyote shooting contest.

No word yet from the forest service on what they'll do.
